English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC)

ELAC Archives

ELAC is Sunset Lane's English Learner Advisory Committee. ELAC is a school committee that is created when there are 21 or more English Language Learners at a school. The committee consists of a group of parents that provides advice to our school in regard to programs and services for English Language Learners. Everyone is invited to attend and provide their input into what our school is doing to help all English Language Learners.

ELAC meetings for the 2025-2026 school year have been scheduled on the following Wednesdays:
  • September 17, 2025 @ 8:45 a.m.
  • November 12, 2025 @ 8:45 a.m.
  • February 4, 2026 @ 8:45 a.m.
  • April 15, 2026 @ 8:45 a.m.

 

ELAC Elections

ELAC elections will begin on September 17, 2025. During our regularly scheduled meeting, those in attendance will nominate parents to serve as ELAC officers. A formal election ballot will be sent to parents of English learners based on the nominations.The following officers were elected:

  • Chairperson/DELAC Representative - Aeree Cho
  • Vice-Chairperson - Hyunyoun Kim
  • Secretary - Vicky Won
