Principal's Message

As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, I am filled with immense pride in the legacy we’ve
built together at Sunset Lane. A legacy grounded not only in academic excellence, but in the
deep belief that every child matters. Our commitment extends beyond test scores and report
cards. It’s about seeing each student as a whole person and meeting them where they are,
making learning relevant, personal, and filled with meaning.

This year’s theme, Rooted in Purpose, Leading with Heart: Together Toward Tomorrow,
captures the spirit of our work ahead. In times of change and challenge, we remain firmly
anchored in what matters most, which is our students, our values, and one another. With
intention and heart, we continue to grow as a community, embracing every shift with courage,
compassion, and purpose. At Sunset Lane, our goal is to cultivate a school where each learner
feels seen, supported, and inspired. We believe in educating the whole child, nurturing not just
academic achievement, but also social-emotional well-being, character development, and a love
of learning that lasts a lifetime.

We are proud to be recognized as a Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 High Reliability School, an
honor that reflects our collective efforts to maintain a safe and collaborative culture, deliver
high-quality instruction, and ensure a guaranteed and viable curriculum for all. Our continued
recognition as a Platinum PBIS School, a 2023 California Distinguished School, and a 2024
California Honor Roll School is a testament to our unwavering dedication to equity, excellence,
and opportunity for every student.

To our returning families, welcome back! And to those joining us for the first time, welcome to
our vibrant community of Seahawks. Whether you’ve been with us for years or are just
beginning this journey, your presence strengthens who we are and where we’re going. We are
so happy that you are here!
Let’s step into this new year with shared enthusiasm, knowing that through connection,
